KDE Drivers Complete 2025 Annual Bootcamp Focused on Performance, Nutrition and Race Preparation
KDE and its drivers came together once again for the 2025 Annual Driver Performance Bootcamp, held at the end of November, reinforcing KDE’s commitment to developing complete, high-performing race drivers. Across two and a half intensive days, the programme combined nutrition and hydration education, physical training, performance seminars and race engineering insight, all designed to deliver measurable gains ahead of the 2026 season.
This annual bootcamp plays a key role within KDE’s long-term driver development programme, ensuring every driver is physically prepared, mentally aligned and technically equipped to perform at the highest level.
A central focus of the bootcamp was ensuring drivers fully understand the importance of nutrition and hydration as professional athletes. Through targeted seminars, KDE assessed whether each driver was in sync with their body, identifying areas that required adjustment to optimise performance both in and out of the race car.
Drivers explored:
• Correct nutrition ratios versus energy burn during training and racing
• Fuel strategies to support intensive physical and cognitive demands
• Travel-specific nutrition and workout planning
Performance partner VINIA joined the camp to film gym activities while drivers used their newly launched hydration drink, supporting KDE’s data-led approach to fuelling, recovery and consistency.
Individual Baseline Assessments for Every Driver
Each driver completed a full-body baseline assessment, allowing KDE to accurately evaluate current physical condition and performance markers. These assessments form the foundation for building individualised training, nutrition and hydration programmes, ensuring every driver receives support tailored to their specific needs.
This personalised approach enables KDE to maximise efficiency, reduce risk of fatigue or imbalance, and support long-term performance progression.
Gym Training, Seminars and Race Engineering Insight
Over the course of the bootcamp, drivers participated in structured gym sessions alongside performance seminars covering the critical technical elements of race preparation. Topics included:
• Extracting maximum performance from the race car
• Effective communication with race engineers
• Understanding how setup changes influence vehicle handling
• Translating physical readiness into on-track consistency
By combining physical training with technical education, KDE ensures drivers are not only fit, but also intelligent, adaptable and confident in competitive environments.
Building a Stronger Driver Toolbox for 2026
The bootcamp concluded with drivers leaving equipped with a deeper understanding of their bodies, their performance requirements and their role within the race team. Each driver now enters the 2026 season with a fine-tuned nutrition, hydration and training programme, supported by enhanced technical knowledge and preparation.
This collective progress reinforces the value of KDE’s structured approach and highlights the impact of bringing drivers together to align standards, validate methodologies and build momentum for the season ahead.
LET’S GO 2026.
